I started painting when living in Pennsylvania, trying to capture the glory of the Appalachian trail, the prettiness of the countryside and the balanced rural life of Carlisle, PA.
There were escapades into some theater art and some miscellaneous subjects, usually based upon specific requests which are also included here to complete the representation of my work,
When we moved to Minnesota, the landscape changed, the beauty was stark, dramatic unforgiving. It was a change from the PA softer, more comfortable lifestyle with four balanced seasons. In MN, winter is ruthless and long, Summer is glorious, intense and brief. I am always surprised by the tenacity of the brilliant flora that returns year after year. I am in love with this scenery and have several works in the pipeline on these subjects.
